Friday, April 3 | 6pm: Portland Taiko’s annual fundraiser, Music + Mingle at APANO (8188 SE Division St, Portland, OR). There will be taiko, food and drink and exciting auction items.

Sunday, April 5 | 11 am – 4pm: Japanese American Museum of Oregon’s First Free Sunday

Tuesday, April 7: Claire Suzuki will provide Reiki at Ikoi no Kai. Sign up for a slot at the front desk or email reserve@ikoinokai.org.

Tuesday, April 7 | 1:30 pm: Bus to Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival. All seats have been filled currently. We encourage you to reach out to be added to our waitlist by letting us know at the front desk or emailing reserve@ikoinokai.org.

Saturdays April 11, April 18, May 16 from 9:30 am – noon AND Sundays April 26 (10 am – noon) & May 24 (9:30 am – noon): Japanese Cemetery Clean-up. Help spruce up the cemetery for Memorial Day.

April 11-12 | 10 am – 4 pm: JAMO’s Cherry Blossom Bazaar at the Povey Building 408 NW 5th Ave.

Saturday, April 11 | 11 am: Film screening of Kinobu: Food, Tradition, and Identity at the Clinton Street Theater (2522 SE Clinton St). Takuji Takahashi, a third-generation chef-owner of Kinobu, honors the deep roots of Japanese cuisine while boldly reimagining its future.

Saturday, April 18 | 1PM: Japanese American Museum of Oregon hosts a book launch of The Toledo Incident of 1925: Three Days That Made History in Toledo, Oregon. More information and RSVP.

Monday, April 20: Stumptown Acupuncture will be providing community style acupuncture at Ikoi no Kai. Sign up for a slot at the front desk or email reserve@ikoinokai.org.

Sunday, April 26: Oregon Buddhist Temple’s Spring Food Bazaar. Order BY April 19th.

Thursday, April 30 | 10 am: Dr. Eriko Onishi will be presenting at Ikoi no Kai before lunch on Advanced Directives and Advance Care Planning.

Friday, May 1 | 10 am – 2 pm: Drop in for card making. Card sales benefit our Bento Home Delivery Program. Email jenny@ikoinokai.org to RSVP.

Sunday, May 3 | 1 pm: Graduation Banquet at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Portland.

Saturday, May 9 | noon – 4 pm: Richmond Elementary Spring Festival. Ikoi no Kai will be there selling crafts and snacks.

Saturday, May 16 | 7 pm: The Immigrant Story presents I Am An American Live: Stories of Exclusion and Belonging. Free event with registration.

Monday, May 25 | 1 – 2 pm: Memorial Day Service at Rose City Cemetery
